Our Events
Since Lotus Lanka was founded in 2016, we have held numerous fundraising events which have allowed us to continue to provide financial support to our Lotus Children. Without these events and everyone that helps to make these fundraisers possible, Lotus Lanka would not be the charity it has evolved to be over the past few years. Please read on below to see everything that we have been able to achieve over the past 5 years.
Lotus Lanka Family Fun Fair
The Lotus Lanka Family Fun Fair was held on the 12th of May 2018 and raised an outstanding total of $5,236.25! These funds allowed Lotus Lanka to continue to provide financial support to disadvantaged children in rural Sri Lanka, to ensure that they continue receive the educational opportunities they deserve. The success of this event is thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors, committee members that worked tirelessly to ensure that our Family Fun Fair was the best it could be.

Fundraising Lunch
Lotus Lanka was able to hold a fundraising lunch at the UniSA campus in Mawson Lakes on the 18th of April 2018. With the help of volunteers, our team was able to make almost 100 takeaway food containers. It is an understatement to say that we were overwhelmed by the number of staff members that came down to support this cause by purchasing a Sri Lankan lunch. At the end of the day we were able to fundraise a grand total of $941.
Food Stall at the Thaala Film Screening
Lotus Lanka was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to run the food stall at the Thaala Film Screening. We are so thankful to everyone who worked behind the scenes as well as those who helped out on the day. We were able to raise an outstanding total of $2165.70!
